Della can swim and Della can float,

Della can sail or row a boat.

Della can ride and fish and shoot,

Della can fill her bathing suit.

Della is fair and up to date,

Della can knock a golf ball straight.

Della can dance and Della can sing,

Della can do most anything.

Della can paint and Della can play,

Della can write a grand essay.

Della can lead all social cliques,

Della can argue politics.

Della can do, quite easy too,

All of the tricks the men folks do;

And this is why, I’m sore afraid,

Della will be an old, old maid.
