The 1909 Boston Doves ended
up in last place in the National League, with a final record of 45-108
leaving them 65.5 games behind the first place Pirates. The Red Sox did substantially
better, their 88-63 record placing them in forth, 9.5 games behind the Tigers
in the American League.
