Flight of Fancy

There’s a pretty fly place they call Squantum,
And the birds of the air will soon haunt ‘em
      And though the broad sea
Is as wet as can be,
There’s nothing like that which will daunt’em.

c. Aug. 15, 1910

English aviator Claude Grahame-White in his Bleriot monoplane sped over Squantum airfield on his way to win the $10,000 Globe purse. (The Boston Globe/1910 File)
