Revolvers And Circles

The earth revolves around the sun,

     The son around the daughter;

The old man circles round the son,

Revolving in his mind that none

     Shall circle round his daughter.

Revolving in his mind that he

     Is not a good revolver;

The son he circles round the tide,

Revolves beyond the great divide,

     And drops his small revolver.
