O,
Lord, I pray thee to forgive
These many sins of mine;
And
ever teach me how to live
To be more wholly thine.
Then
when temptations beckon me
To follow paths of wrong,
My
faith and strength will be in thee
To whom I give this song.
Let
each and every one of us
Give something great or small
To
him who died upon the cross,
To save us, one and all.
There’s
some of us who have no gold,
And so no offering make;
But
every mortal has a soul,
Which God is glad to take.
