The
Atlanta Constitooshun hez a lot uv poems in it,
I
guess thet feller Stanton mus’ be writin’ ev’ry minit;
We
can’t pick up a paper thet printed in the North,
But
what his Billville jingle jingles from its kollums forth.
But
his jingle’s full uv music an’ it’s backed by common sense,
An’
the gals an’ married women think his writin’ is immense;
An’
the only thing agin it thet my feelin’s
kin define,
Is,
thet the gal I’m courtin’ thinks they’re fur ahead uv mine!
