Joy
uv ______er on the shore,
Fishline in the stream,
I
don’t ask fur nothin’ more,
But to fish an’ dream.
Hemlock
tree above my head,
Grassy bank below;
Bass
a-nosin’ round my hook,
Weighs two pound or so.
Sun
a-shinin’ on the Crick,
Feelin’ mighty glad;
Turkles
dozin’ on a log,
Bull frog on a pad.
Muskrat
swimmin’ fur away,
Fishhawk sailin’ o’er;
Fish
a-bitin’ purty well –
Ask fur nothin’ more.
