Homeward Bound

I wait a little bounding boat,
     A craft far out at sea;
A fair and winged bird afloat,
     And she belongs to me.

She comes from distant isles a-fleet,
     Beneath the white-capped skies afore;
Her name is like herself, full sweet,
     For she was christened “Love”.
