Since
birth of time in every chine,
You who have toiled your weary way,
Do
you suppose, so the saying goes,
That the last shall come first someday?
In
days to come when we are done,
And roam no longer hereabout,
Do
you suppose as the saying goes
That all our sins will find us out?
‘Tis
not for us to judge it thus,
But to believe all this is true;
And
not suppose, as the saying goes,
Some future time for this will do.
