Latter Day Patriots

The bloody fields of Lexington
     And Concord we revere;
We gather there to celebrate
     In April every year.
Our great grand-daddies fought the fight
     Like brave and fearless men;
And, too, we’re brave, but still we’re glad
     We were not living then.
