The Poet’s Fare

“I wouldn’t care”
     The poet wrote
For fancy fare
     Of duck or goat,
For froggy legs
     Or canned sardines,
For ham and eggs
     Or pork and beans
For cake or pie
     Of any sort
If I could buy
     Good food for thought.
