Little John’s Thanksgiving Prayer

“Let’s all give thanks,” said Grandpa Brown,

As round the table they sat down.

“O Lord, we render thanks to thee

     For all these goodies here;

We pray that thou our needs will see,

     And send likewise each year.

We ask a special blessing on

     Each one about to sup –”

“An’ b’ess the turkey, too,” said John,

     “An’ hurry drandpa up.”
