They
say the great John D.,
A humorist is he,
A
dandy story teller of the very first degree;
He can cause your sides to split
With his rapid flow of wit,
The
equal of his humor has never yet been writ.
Say, fellows in the ring,
We must simply clip his wing,
Ere
he drives us out of business and becomes the joker King;
For as sure as pie has crust,
He will form a Humor Trust,
And
we little funny fellows we will simply have to bust.
