Three
words I know, when you are near,
Three
words, and that is all, my dear;
Three
little words, of small degree,
But
O, they mean so much to me, –
Three little words, “I love you”.
When
you’re away from day to day,
I
think of much that I can say;
And
swear I’ll prove the love to you
That
fills my being through and though
I’ll say more than, “I love you”.
But
when your wondrous face I see
And
feel your eyes of witchery,
My
heart is full, my lips are weak,
And
I can only softly speak
Three little words, “I love you”.
