O,
thou my God and savior dear,
Bend
down thy ever listening ear,
That
thou mine humble prayer might hear;
O, King of mine.
Bend
low then ear to hear us pray,
Take
all my former self away,
Remold
like thee this earthly clay,
All praise be thine.
II.
How
near thou seemest Lord, to me,
When
I in faith speak unto thee;
And
thus would I it e’er should be,
O, Lord divine.
And
when thy blessing on me pour,
From
out that endless heavenly store,
Thy
name shall ring forever more,
All praise be thine.
