There’s No Snow Below

He brought in a poem on “Beautiful Snow”,
     The editor gave him a lift;
He fell to the sidewalk, forty-nine feet,
     And was buried from sight in a drift.
And now it is said by people who know
He’ll make no more verses on “Beautiful Snow”.
