What
do you see, sweet baby dear,
With your great eyes of blue?
I
wonder if you see the things
That other people do.
So
large, so round and clear are they
I wonder all the day
Just
what you see, and if you can
See very far away.
O
my, I think you see quite well,
Much better than can I;
A
change has come upon the earth,
And dark has grown the sky.
It
rains somewhere beyond the hill,
I fear it’s coming near;
And
if your eyes keep filling up
The rain will be right here.
