hen gazed on a china egg, –
Should I repeat it?
Then
turned unto her friend and said,
“I cannot beat it.”
Her
friend, a sly old rooster he,
Was quick to catch it;
“You
cannot beat,” he made reply,
“Nor
can you hatch it.”
