They
say the cost of living
Is soaring to the sky;
That
by and by the people
To live will have to die.
The
milkmen say the reason
That milk is higher now
Is
– well, to put it plainly,
They blame it on the cow!
The
eggmen say the biddies
Are loafing on the job;
And
so they feel that really
They’re justified to rob.
The
meatmen they are silent,
Like ev’ry “trusted” crook;
But
if they blame the cattle
They’re going to get the hook!
