Green Apple Acrostic



G stands for green apples that grow on a tree,
R stands for Rodger who ate two or three;
E stands for Edward who also was there
E ating green apples without any care.
N stands for Nellie who found them alas,
A ll doubled and twisted with pain in the grass;
P stands for papa, with no time to waste,
P ut off for the doctor in terrible haste.
L stands for living, for still they remain,
E ach little boy, now free from his pain,
S oon to be eating green apples again.
