We received the pictures of hostess and host,

Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Post,

Of Battle Creek in old Michigan

Where were entertained the humorist clan,

And they’re hanging now in our Hall of Fame

With the Humorist bunch, close to the same.

Ill fate prevented our meeting you

But the same sometime we hope to do.

Please accept our thanks, kind hostess and host,

Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Post.

Though we know you not, as face to face,

We feel your presence within this place,

For we eat each morn (and we’re fat and sleek)

Your cereal products from Battle Creek.
