How Is Cambridge?

I wonder how ol’ Cambridge is,

     Ol’ Cambridge fur away?

I wonder what they’re doin’

     n Cambridgeport turday.

I wonder ef the Mayor

     Is stirrin’ things a bit;

An’ ef they’ve got them questions

     All settled down there yit.

I guess ‘at things is goin’

     Along there purty well;

‘Cuz ef they wuzn’t, don’t yew see,

     The Press ‘ud up’n tell.

One thing erbout ol’ Cambridge,

     She’s never loose nor slack;

We allus find her ship-shape,

     Whenever we git back.
