When
the bull frogs down in the meadows
Are out sung by the mowng machine,
Then
my friends you’ll know it’s summer,
And you cannot until then I ween.
When
the freckled boy wants to go swimming,
Each day, times fully sixteen,
Then
you know right well it is summer –
Bless the boy and the mowing machine.
