The Fan at Home

He saw a baseball from home plate hit

     Go smash through a large plate glass;

And he threw his hat and howled himself hoarse,

     With the rest of the howling mass.

That night when he reached his home he found

     That his youngster had whacked a sphere

Through an attic pane, and the things he said

     And did – can’t be related here.
