There
was a man in our town
Who thought him wondrous wise;
He
went off on a fishing trip,
And caught a string of lies.
And
when he found his creel was full
With all his might and main
He
hurried straightward back to town
Upon the evening train.
He
spread abroad his mighty catch,
And tried a splurge to make;
Alas!
His neighbors were immune,
Not one of them would take.
