The Soul Shall Rise

The fleeting moments will not linger
     While I frolic by life’s way;
The tide of time still bears me onward
     To that spot which breeds decay.
But the soul is young as ever –
     Time cannot its life destroy;
While the body lies in the darkness
     It shall rise to light and joy.
