Poe – Lincoln

Aren’t we having a feast of Poe?
We see him and read him wherever we go;
How sweet to be honored in press and on tongue,
By aged and all the way down to the young.
Well Poe is all right, I have nothing to say
On the praise he is getting today;
No doubt he deserves it, his stories are prime,
His poetry something far better than rhyme;
I’ve read and admired him since but a babe,
But what has become of our “honest old Abe”?
