There
was a man in our town
And monstrous wise was he;
He
jumped into one mining scheme,
Then let the others be.
c.
Jan. 21, 1912
(This
may refer to an unnamed person losing out on an investment in a mining company that went into
receivership, such has happened to the Colorado Mining Company in late 1911. In
that case, claims were due in January 1912 in Boston, where the case was filed
and the appointed receiver was located.)
