O,
merry little Wilson you have caught the sleepy town,
And
we promise while you’re with us just to smile and never frown,
Everybody’s
bright and happy, you can hear their laughter ring,
And
we’re glad that you’re “The Chieftain”, also that you “live to sing”.
The smile,
smile, smile
And
laugh, laugh, laugh,
This little lay
Is honest play,
And not a word of chaff.
