Our Old Friend

We urged him on to visit us,
     We used him like a lord;
We showered on him kindnesses,
     His smile was our reward.

He run the ranch to suit himself,
     We spread him gorgeous fares;
But when he tried to spark our wife,
     We kicked him down the stairs.
