The Fickle Summer Girl

The seashore looks deserted now,
     The summer maid hath gone;
And Willie in the ribbon store
     Looks lonely and forlorn.

She toyed with his throbbing heart
     All through the outing days,
But now since they are back in town
     He gets an icy gaze.
