We
read of people getting killed by jumping off the cars,
Or
hurled against the pavement where they view a million stars;
But
I would say to all who wish to save a deal of woe
‘Tis
better by far to stay on the car
Until
the conductor says go.
Whene’er
the world goes wrong with you, – you think of suicide,
Remember
every human soul will thus some day be tried;
Remember,
too, the truthfulness of these few words below:
‘Tis
better by far to stay on the car
Until
the conductor says go.
