I.
Now doth the little busy trout
Start up the little brook;
Now doth the little fisherman
Get out his little hook.
II.
Now doth he walk a little way
To have a little fun;
Now doth he hook a little trout,
A very little one.
III.
Now doth he make a little cast,
And now a little throw;
But all ye little, timid trout
Are just a little slow.
IV.
Now doth he bid the little brook
A little sad good-bye,
And take unto his little wife
A very little fry.
