The funniest thing that ever I see

The funniest thing, it seems to me,

Was a wild March day not long ago,

When everything was on the go,

And a man came down the street; ‘kerspat”

Away went his bran’ new derby hat!

The funniest thing was not to see

Him chasing the hat, O, no sir-ee,

The funniest thing the fat man did

Was to put his foot right through the lid!
