A
little field, a babbling brook,
A
little bent pin for a hook,
Will
cause a boy to ‘hooky’ play,
And
get his jacket tanned next day.
And
this same brook some later day
Will
take his common sense away;
He’ll
leave his happy home for it
And
fish and fish, and nothin’ git.
