Two Of A Kind



(First Door)

“Come, pay me my rent!” the landlord cried
     And his scowl grew deep and broader.
“I can’t do that,” the tenant replied,
     “For I’ve joined a one year order.”

                 (Second Door)

“The roof is very much out of repair,”
     Said she with usual digressments.
“I can’t help it, madam, no money to spare,
     For I must pay up my assessments.
